Shot Down On HWY 20, Toledo
On May 11 a good man was seriously injured on Hwy 20 near Toledo.
SHOT (GLENN) JOHNSON, friend, neighbor, ace mechanic @ Power Ford/Dodge and citizen was seriously
injured on his way home Saturday. It seems Shot was riding his Harley when the car in front of him slammed on the brakes and
shot only had two ways to go. Into the rear-end or swerve around him. Well, he swerved and ended up smashing into a car making
an abrupt left turn onto Tom Jack Road. The poor guy is in bad shape in Portland with a crushed hip ball and broken arm and
other minor injuries. It gets worse..... they want to blame him. I sure know that intersection well In fact just last week
the State Police increased patrols along there because of the number of accidents. I would guess Shot has driven that stretch 20,000 times. He has probably seen twenty or so accidents right there as well. Hell, my mother totaled her car
there as well when she rear ended a stopped vehicle. This place is so dangerous even to those who are leery of that
intersection. I can imagine the horror stories the few residents on Tom Jack Rd must have. How many accidents and
fatalities does it take for the agencies to realize that their Interstate Highways in some places are extremely
dangerous and cause for unnecessary problems. Heck there isn't even enough room to pull a car over on the side.
When they do, they are down the ditch or hill. Happens all year long there. Anyhow the list goes on what's wrong
there but I have yet to see any improvements.
Now, back to Shot..... This guy deserves a break! Jesus Christ, he has been a good boy. He has a great family and
needs some help. I am putting up a Paypal donation link. Please give Shot a break.
